About me

I am (almost) a PhD in Hispanic Studies from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid and a substitute lecturer in the Department of Spanish Philology at the same university. In my dissertation, I focused on discourse markers of regression in Spanish—that is, those that help us return to the thread of discourse after a digression or, colloquially, after going off on a tangent. Before diving into the world of research, I worked on the Diccionario de la lengua española at the Real Academia Española. I’m passionate about defining words, solving crosswords, and finding the exact term. In my free time, I love walking in nature with my dog and cooking.
