I am Marta Margariños, a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Biology (Animal Physiology) at the Autonomous University of Madrid. My academic work encompasses both teaching and research in the field of Biology. My current research focuses on the role of cellular senescence in processes such as development, regeneration, and aging. Beyond academia, I have a strong interest in literature, cinema, and, in recent years, history. I also greatly enjoy traveling—with a pair of binoculars always at hand—dedicated to birdwatching in their natural habitats.
