CNIC | Rare diseases: challenges and research opportunities

This acivity for people over 12 years old aims to raise awareness among the general public of the many challenges that patients with rare diseases have to face, and to explain how basic research using adequate experimental models is essential to advance our understanding of these diseases and finding potential therapies to alleviate or cure these patients. For this purpose, we will organize two activities: a dissemination talk in lay language and a demo in our lab that will allow the attendees to get familiarized with techniques routinely used in basic research to answer scientific questions relevant for rare diseases research. You can attend one or both activities.
