About me

Daniel Pastor Galán (b. 1984, Segovia, Spain) is a specialist in tectonics and paleogeography who integrates fieldwork, paleomagnetism, isotope geochemistry (U–Pb, Ar–Ar, Lu–Hf, Sm–Nd, O–H), and both numerical and analog modeling. He earned his Ph.D. from Universidad de Salamanca in 2012 and served as a postdoctoral fellow at Utrecht University (2012–2016) followed by a JSPS fellowship in Japan. From 2019 to 2024, he was Assistant Professor at Tohoku University, also holding a Ramón y Cajal Fellowship at the University of Granada (2021–2023), before being appointed Científico Titular at CSIC’s Instituto de Geociencias. He is currently a participant in the ForMovFluid Marie Curie Doctoral Network, a Horizon Europe project focused on upper crustal fluid processes and critical‑raw‑material systems.
