Elena Villalba is a professor at the Polytechnic University of Madrid (UPM) and principal investigator at the Aging Laboratory of the Center for Biomedical Technology (CTB). Her work focuses on developing innovative technological solutions to improve the quality of life of vulnerable people, especially the elderly and people with disabilities.
In addition to her teaching and research work, she actively participates in scientific outreach initiatives aimed at children, adolescents, and the general public, with the aim of bringing science closer to society.
A nature lover, she particularly enjoys outdoor activities and spending time in the countryside, a hobby that connects with her commitment to active and healthy aging.
