In this activity, children will observe the presence of bacteria in different elements of their everyday environment. By observing prepared Petri dishes, they will compare the bacteria present on their hands before and after washing, as well as on the floor and some foods. The children will record their observations through drawings, describing colours, shapes and quantities in a simple and guided manner. The aim is for them to understand that bacteria are very small organisms that cannot be seen with the naked eye and are present everywhere, without associating them solely with disease. The activity promotes scientific curiosity, careful observation, oral language and the importance of hand washing as a personal hygiene practice.
