About me

I hold a degree in Chemical Sciences and a PhD in Veterinary Science from the Complutense University of Madrid (UCM, 2019). I am currently working as Assistant Professor in the Department of Nutrition and Food Science at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, UCM. I am member of the research group "Advanced Methodologies for Traceability, Detection of Microorganisms in Food, and Food Biosafety." My research focuses on the development of novel techniques for the detection of food allergens in order to improve food safety. I have worked on the design of both genetic techniques and immunoassays based on the use of recombinant antibodies generated through phage display technology. In my free time, I love discovering new places, playing board games, listening to music, and enjoying all of this with my family and friends.
