Esteban Fernández Moreira
About me
I work as an assistant professor in the Department of Cell Biology and Histologyat the Complutense University of Madrid (UCM). I hold a PhD in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the Autonomous University of Madrid (UAM),and have carried out research at the University of Michigan, INIBIC in A Coruña, and at UDLA and UEES in Ecuador. I currently study leukemia exosomes from Ecuadorian patients. I'm also a science communicator and hold a university certificate in science journalism and communication from the UNED. I’ve written plays and performed as an actor, and I’ve worked in radio both as a contributor and as the host of my own show. I was a founding member of the Galician Association for Science Communication and of KUNA, the Ecuadorian science communicators’ network. And I have three beautiful children.
