Ignacio Brescó de Luna is an Assistant Professor at the Universidad Nacional de Educación a Distancia and an external researcher at the Centre for Cultural Psychology at Aalborg University (Denmark), where he completed a two-year postdoctoral fellowship and served as an Associate Professor until 2021. He has held research stays at institutions such as Cambridge University (UK), the University of Brasilia (Brazil), the Georg Eckert Institute (Germany), FLACSO (Argentina), and Kyushu University (Japan). His research centers on collective memory, memorial sites, and grief tech, such as griefbots. In 2020, he was awarded the Grífols Foundation Grant to investigate the bioethical impact of griefbots.
