About me

Jordi Coral received his PhD from the University of York (UK), where he wrote a thesis on Shakespearean tragedy as a British Academy doctoral student. He was also the recip-ient of a “La Caixa” scholarship. He is currently Lecturer in English at Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB). His most recent work on literary economies of Elizabe-than and Jacobean England has appeared in journals such as The Seventeenth Century, English Studies, Shakespeare and Renaissance Drama. His work was included in the annual survey of outstanding periodical literature of The Economic History Review (2017). He is at present co-PI of the project “Worth and Words: Market Economies and Infinite Gold Discourse in Early Modern Literature,” funded by the Spanish State Agency for Research.
