Tomás Aguilera Durán
About me
I studied History in the University of Salamanca and the PhD in Autonomous University of Madrid, where nowadays I'm lecturer of Ancient History. I’m interested on researching about how Antiquity is received, represented and manipulated in the Modern world (politics, literature, art, historiography, etc.). On these topics usually write and talk in the web El Café de la Lluvia (https://elcafedelalluvia.com/), among other media, and organize a talk series in pubs, Café Antique (https://www.instagram.com/cafe_antique_uam/). Lately I have been working on Latin American topics, since I lived for two years in Santiago, Chile. Beyond the academic field, drawing, mountaineering, and crime novels occupy a favourite place among my hobbies.
