About me

I am a microbiologist and I am passionate about exploring the invisible world of microorganisms that inhabit the soil and surround plant roots. I study how these communities are formed, how they interact with plants and how we can take advantage of them for a more sustainable agriculture. I have always been fascinated by nature and, although I spend many hours in the lab or in front of the computer, I also enjoy hiking and reading. I believe that science should not only be rigorous, but also accessible and understandable to everyone.
