Belén Segovia Oller
About me
Graduated in Health Biology from the University of Alcalá (UAH) and holds a Master's degree in Translational Medical Research from the Complutense University of Madrid (UCM). During her master’s studies, she was awarded a JAE fellowship to carry out her Master’s Thesis in the Development, Differentiation, and Degeneration group (Lab 3D) at the Margarita Salas Center for Biological Research (CIB-CSIC).
She is currently in the first year of her PhD in Advanced Materials and Nanotechnology at the Autonomous University of Madrid (UAM), conducting her research within the same group (Lab 3D) as part of a collaboration between the Institute of Materials Science of Madrid (ICMM-CSIC) and UAM. Her project focuses on the development of nanothermometers for the detection of inflammation in the retina and adjacent tissues, within a multidisciplinary research framework.
