My name is Diego Laxalde Fernández, and I am a predoctoral researcher in biochemistry at the Centro de Investigaciones Biológicas Margarita Salas (CIB-CSIC), where I am part of the Bacterial Division Systems Biochemistry group. My research focuses on the field of synthetic biology, specifically on the characterization and reconstitution of cell division systems from various microorganisms. I am passionate about scientific outreach and firmly believe in its essential role in bringing scientific knowledge closer to society.
