Isabel Cabrera Cobos
About me
My name is Isabel Cabrera, and I've always had a special fascination with words, their evolution, and their meaning. Following this vocation, I studied Hispanic Philology in Granada, my hometown, where I was able to further explore this obsession that has accompanied me since childhood through the study of the history of the language, its richness, and its use from every possible perspective.
I currently work at the Digital Humanities Laboratory of the Institute of Mediterranean and Near Eastern Languages and Cultures (LabHD-ILC) of the CSIC (Spanish National Research Council), where I assist in the development and application of digital tools for the study and dissemination of humanities projects.
When I'm not writing code, I like to spend my time reading, making crafts, playing sports, and, above all, learning. I enjoy exploring topics that spark my curiosity through talks, workshops, visits to libraries, museums, and, in general, any space for shared knowledge. One of those spaces has been the European Researchers' Night for many years, which I attended first as a visitor and then as a volunteer for several editions. Therefore, I am especially excited to join this celebration again, this time to accompany those who are encouraged to travel with us on such an interesting journey as Clavijo's and his journey to the East.
