My name is Ángela García de la Camacha Díaz and I am from Ciudad Real. Curious by nature, it was only a matter of time before science knocked on my door and I ended up answering. I graduated in Mechanical Engineering, where I began to take an interest in research, which led me to leave my beloved Castilla-La Mancha behind to pursue a Master's Degree in Materials Science and Engineering at the University Carlos III of Madrid.
During those years, both in my final degree project and my master's thesis, I was involved in projects related to Additive Manufacturing, which led me to become a pre-doctoral researcher at IMDEA Materials Institute, focusing my doctoral thesis on 3D printing of bioabsorbable implants.
In addition, throughout my academic career, I have always been very attracted to scientific dissemination and teaching, areas in which I would love to continue growing.
Outside the laboratory and the scientific environment, I am passionate about art in all its forms, especially painting, poetry and theatre. The latter is one of my main hobbies, both as a spectator and on stage. I also really enjoy travelling, discovering new places and meeting new people.
