About me

María Goicoechea is a Professor in the Department of English Studies at the Complutense University of Madrid (UCM) and coordinator of the Master's Degree in Digital Literature. Professor Goicoechea has extensive experience as a researcher in the field of cultural studies in the digital age. She was the Principal Investigator of the eLITE-CM project on Electronic Literary Publishing (50% co-financed by the European Social Fund). She has curated several electronic literature exhibitions and, together with Laura Sánchez, is the co-founder of the Ciberia Project, a website dedicated to promoting electronic literature. Her publications include the collective volumes Voces Encendidas: Mujeres, Arte y Tecnología (CSIC Publishing, 2023) and Alicia a través de la pantalla: Lecturas literaturas en el siglo XXI (Germán Sánchez-Ruipérez Foundation, 2013).
