Elpidio is a final-year Master’s student in Aerospace Engineering at the University of Naples Federico II. He is currently conducting his thesis at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (UC3M), within the Plasma & Space Propulsion team, where he is working on the redesign of the discharge chamber of the ECRT prototype, aiming to enable direct access to the plasma source. He has been involved in various projects: he is a co-founder of UNGIT, a team established in collaboration with the space propulsion laboratory at the Italian Aerospace Research Centre (CIRA), where he explores solutions for the application of electric
propulsion in future crewed interplanetary missions. In his spare time, Elpidio also enjoys more “down-to-earth” passions: he is an avid reader of detective novels, loves cooking, and performs with a theatre company in his hometown.
