Lidia Gómez Cid
About me
Dr. Lidia Gómez Cid is a biomedical engineer and currently she Works as a Distinguished Professor at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (UC3M). She holds a Master's degree at the University of New South Wales in Sydney and a PhD in Biomedical Science and Technologies from UC3M. She has also worked as a postdoctoral researcher at Harvard Medical School and Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. Her research focuses on understanding the cardiological and neurological changes associated with aging and on finding new therapies to treat the diseases that arise from these changes. In addition to researching and teaching, she also loves traveling, swimming, enjoying time with family and friends, and taking care of (and expanding) her plant collection.
