About me

An Environmental Scientist from the Autonomous University of Madrid (2002), I have worked as a Herbarium Technician at the MA Herbarium of the Royal Botanical Garden of Madrid since 2010. Throughout my professional life, I have held various positions related to herbarium management, including mounting specimens, computerization and scanning, and quality control of the digitization process. I am currently responsible for managing loans and the historical herbaria. One of the lesser-known aspects of my work is the importance of the relationship between history and botany; it is thrilling to rediscover forgotten botanists through herbarium specimens. I am passionate about being part of the chain of people who, since the 17th century, have contributed to preserving this important legacy for future research.
