Vanessa Esteves Mesquita is currently employed as a Research Assistant under a contract funded by the Community of Madrid and co-funded by the European Social Fund Plus (ESF+), in the Department of Nutrition and Food Science at the Complutense University of Madrid (UCM). She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Human Nutrition and Dietetics from UCM, as well as a Master’s degree in Applied Human Nutrition and Dietetics from the same institution. Vanessa has participated in three research projects and is the author of a publication in a high-impact (Q1) scientific journal. She has presented 14 scientific communications and received the second prize for best undergraduate thesis (TFG), awarded by the Spanish Conference of Deans of Human Nutrition and Dietetics (CDDnutrición). She has also been involved in science outreach activities, as well as service learning and teaching innovation projects at UCM.
