The activity consists of a talk on how drugs present in wastewater from our homes can reach the environment and, through surface water, end up in the food we consume. Special emphasis will be placed on antibiotics due to their significant impact on the selection of antibiotic-resistant bacteria, and this aspect will be explored in depth. The activity will serve as a vehicle for raising awareness about the responsible use of antibiotics and the importance of taking expired medicines to a recycling point (SIGRE in Spain).
