We propose an interactive workshop on plasma — a fascinating yet little-known state of matter that surrounds us in everyday life and plays a key role in cutting-edge technologies. Through visually striking and safe demonstrations, we aim to spark curiosity and highlight how plasma bridges the gap between the familiar and the futuristic, from nuclear fusion to space propulsion. The workshop will feature three hands-on experiments:
- Plasma Lamp: A simple and visually captivating introduction to the concept of plasma.
- Tesla Coil: We'll generate lightning and explore the nature of high-frequency electricity.
- Microwaves and Grapes: Using common household items, we'll create plasma and explain the underlying physics.
