In this activity, you will discover how the Spanish electricity system works and how smart decisions are made about energy use based on price or CO2 emissions... in real time!

We will look at a small system that mimics how a house with solar panels works. With the help of light bulbs, switches, and sensors, participants will be able to experience what happens when more energy is generated than is consumed (or vice versa), and how automatic systems work to balance everything.

We will play at being the artificial intelligence that makes energy decisions, learn to read data in real time, and understand how the systems that help reduce CO₂ emissions work in places like your school, your home... or an entire university!

Activity organized as part of the European CODECO project by researchers from the ETSI Telecommunications School.
