Cultura con C de Cosmos regresa con “C3: Vida”

‘Cultura con C de Cosmos’ (C3) es un proyecto interdisciplinar de divulgación científica del Centro de Astrobiología (CAB, CSIC-INTA) cuyo objetivo es divulgar la astronomía y la astrobiología a través del arte, la poesía y la música. Tras dos exitosas ediciones, con más de 11.000 asistentes que participaron en las más de setenta actividades organizadas, el proyecto regresa en la primavera del 2022 con el lema “C3: Vida”, abordando la apasionante cuestión de la posible existencia de vida fuera de la Tierra en un contexto de la tercera cultura.

Dirigido a un público general de todas las edades que tenga interés en la ciencia, en el arte y/o en otras áreas del conocimiento, el objetivo del proyecto es armonizar las dos culturas, la científica y la humanística, tan frecuentemente percibidas como disociadas. Personalidades de ambos mundos nos contarán en vídeos breves cuál es su visión acerca de este tema tan provocador, reflejando así la cercanía y la fusión que coexisten en todas las tareas creativas, provengan de una fórmula matemática o de la mezcla de colores necesaria para plasmar en un cuadro un atardecer en Marte.

Aunque esta edición tiene un enfoque eminentemente virtual, “C3: Vida” contará también con actividades presenciales en diversas sedes (siempre adaptándose a las condiciones y medidas requeridas por la situación de pandemia). Así, el 17 de marzo se inaugurará un ciclo de diálogos en el mítico Café Gijón de Madrid. Especialistas en áreas diversas de la cultura conversarán acerca de temas como la relación entre el arte y la ciencia o la vida en otros mundos.

En palabras de Montserrat Villar, directora del proyecto, “proponemos un diálogo con la sociedad acerca de la posible existencia de vida fuera de la Tierra, un tema que ha fascinado a la humanidad desde hace más de 2000 años. Lo haremos en contextos que estimulen una reflexión acerca de cómo la creatividad en diferentes áreas del saber enriquece la cultura e impulsa el avance del conocimiento”.

El primer vídeo que sale a la luz cuenta con la participación de Rosa Menéndez, presidenta del Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas (CSIC), y también colaboran Michel Mayor (premio nobel de Física, 2019), la periodista Marta Fernández Váquez, Jocelyn Bell (descubridora de los púlsares), Marian García (boticaria García), y Miguel Falomir (director del Museo del Prado), entre muchos otros nombres.

 

Ediciones anteriores

En sus dos primeras ediciones (octubre de 2018 a marzo de 2019 y noviembre de 2019), se llevaron a cabo actividades a través de colecciones e iniciativas de numerosas entidades culturales situadas principalmente en Madrid, dando difusión a sus obras desde una perspectiva científica. 41 entidades se implicaron para organizar 73 actividades en 31 sedes, la mayoría en Madrid: conciertos, recitales de poesía, exposiciones, tertulias, conferencias, obras de teatro, visitas guiadas, etc.
