We are celebrating International Day of Women and Girls in Science by organizing “Rewriting Codes,” a joint event with the UPM's School of Computer Engineering.
After the institutional welcome, there will be a round table discussion moderated by researcher Clara Benac, with the participation of Susana Muñoz, María del Carmen Suárez, and Alessandra Gorla.
The day will end with four workshops prepared by researchers Elena Villalba, Marta Iglesias, Daniela Ferreiro, and Elvira Moreno, in which students will be able to learn more about the technology that helps us age more healthily and the role of women in the world of computer science, among other topics. One of the workshops, “Why would a girl want to study computer science?”, will be led by five students from the ETSI Computer Science student delegation.
