Programa

7th Framework Programme - ERA NET Plus (CSA)

Duración January 2009 - December 2013
Objetivo

The objective of MATERA+ is the launching, management and follow-up of a Joint Call in the field of Materials in 2009. The project is a direct outcome of the coordination work initiated within a previous ERA-NET on Materials in FP6. MATERA+ takes advantage of the experience gained over the last 3 years in the previous transnational calls carried out in MATERA (MATERA Calls 2006, 2007 and 2008).

Actividades

The MATERA+ Call aims to fund trans-national, multidisciplinary, innovative R&D projects related to materials science and engineering, from basic research to application-oriented research. The proposed projects must clearly demonstrate trans-national, collaborative R&D with a significant degree of innovation, scientific and technical challenge. The project consortia are challenged to demonstrate "value chain" or "innovation chain" involvement, spanning from basic R&D to industrial innovation.

The activities to develop will be:

  • Preparation of the MATERA+ Joint Call, including the exact and detailed timing and the necessary documents, and to agree on a electronic proposal handling tool to implement this Call.
  • Implementation of the Joint Call, include the launching of the Joint Call, the conclusion of the external evaluation, up to a decision being agreed with the European Commission regarding the financing of the selected projects based on quality criteria.
  • Project monitoring of the projects financed by MATERA+ until their final submission of deliverables and economic justifications.
  • Assessment of the Joint Call impact and the future prospects for collaboration opened to the MATERA+ partners.
